Lots of us have been wearing the wrong bra size for years without realising. Bodies change, and sizing varies from brand to brand. It only takes two minutes with a tape measure, and it's the best way to find a bra that really fits.

Measure your underband (snugly around your ribcage, just under your bust) and your bust (around the fullest part, keeping the tape level and close to your body without pulling it tight). Then send us both numbers via Live Chat or in the notes at checkout, and we'll happily recommend your size.

We can make it to measure. Because everything is handmade to order in our Hastings studio, we can custom make most of our designs to fit you, at no extra cost.

The Ellie comes in standard bra sizes. The Ellie Curvy is the Ellie redesigned for a fuller bust.

If you're a DD-E cup, you can choose either design. The Ellie Curvy is specially designed to be more supportive for a fuller bust. A 28 or 40 band, or between sizes? We'll make it to measure at no extra cost.

Designed for a smaller bust, with minimal support. Not recommended above a D cup.

• Between sizes (for example 32C): choose Medium.
• Small band, bigger cup (for example 30C): we'll custom make it with a small band and medium cup.
• Outside the range (for example 36D): we'll custom make it to your measurements.
• D cup or above but love this look? Try the Triangle bralette. It has built-in elastics for more support, in the same triangle shape.

Not quite fitting these sizes? We very often custom make the Triangle to fit, at no extra cost. Just send us your underband and bust measurements.

A clever design: the curve in the plunge works beautifully on a smaller bust, yet gives a surprising amount of support to a fuller bust too. The Sweetheart is sized exactly like the Plunge. Neither suits a completely flat chest, so sizes start at a B cup and go up to an E cup.

A 30D still fits the Small. A 30E: we'd suggest a custom make, with a small band and medium cup. A 36B: the Medium should still work well.

This includes the organic cotton Tulips and the Cashmere Tulip.

A forgiving design that easily spans a couple of sizes, so if you're a DD, go with whichever feels right for your shape (Medium or Large).

The Leo fits differently from the lace Scoop and goes up to a Medium.
